COP: Practical

And artist that has inspired me a lot at the moment is Jon Kenn Mortensen. A lot of his work is in this creepy fantasy world. I bought his book 'Sticky Monsters' which is full of amazing detailed drawings that he'd done on a piece of sticky note paper. I find it amazing the level of detail on such a small scale. I have used him as inspiration for some of my drawings within this sketchbook.

Study Task 2

Illustration by........I chose this to portray the quote in the Bruce Mae text 'An Incomplete Manifesto For Growth' : "Don't borrow money."

Triangulated argument: looking at three or more sources of the same information or e.g. looking at an illustration look at views from diffferent time periods.

multiple perspectives o interpret a single set of data.

what it means by dont borrow money. and the support of the image. I chose this image because the fork/ hand represents that it all catches up on you in the end and the fact he is running around in circles means that it wont stop chasing you.

Study Task 1

After reading 'An incomplete manifesto for growth' by Bruce Mae and 'First things first', I picked my two favourite quotes which were both in fact from the Bruce Mae text. I really enjoyed the Bruce Mae text as I found it quite positive; more encouraging rather than critical like the 'First things first' text and thought it was more about the individual . To go along side the quotes I found an illustration from the library which I think gave a good portrail of them.

 Don't borrow money.

Process is more important than the outcome.
